SUMMARY
Create, support and promote the image, service and standards of Sundance and the spa. Responsible for all operations and functions of the spa.
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Direct and supervise all spa related operations.
Manage and supervise all needs of the spa and staff.
Monitor the integrity and quality of all services.
Ensure that the spa operates as a safe, relaxing and positive environment for guests and staff.
Develop and design spa protocols and procedures.
Maintain retail operations to compliment spa environment.
Be a team player, promoting the spa and other Sundance functions and entities.
Attend pre-con meetings. Assist with group use of spa in regards to staffing and space.
Promote a positive and healthy working environment in accordance with the Sundance Vision and Guiding Principles.
Fulfill any reasonable requests of the staff members, guests and management.
Ensure guest and staff satisfaction and comfort throughout the entire spa experience.
Communicate with team members, regarding guest or service concerns.
Ensure that all staff members meet service, certification and educational requirements.
Perform all duties related to payroll and human resources in accordance with any and all federal and/or state laws.
Monitor and review all staffs' attendance and performance.
Manage the interview process for all spa staff.
Supervise and authorize general spa maintenance and repairs.
Manage and develop all operational goals and needs of the spa.
Develop continuing education program for all spa staff.
Develop and manage spa budgets.
Develop and manage all spa collateral materials in conjunction with marketing and sales.
Market the spa and its services in conjunction with the Marketing and Sales department.
Organize and conduct training for spa staff.
Oversee the Resort Yoga Program and its instructors.
Oversee the Resort Fitness Yurt.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises two subordinate supervisors and approximately 19 full and part time year round employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum four years in related management. Superior customer service skills.
Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word. Prior salon or spa experience and retail experience is preferred. Must have up to date knowledge of spa industry trends and standards.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation and electronic mail. Proficiency in SMS preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be nationally and state certified as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician to perform treatments on guests.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
